Activity Level
This tour is designed for travellers who enjoy being out and about. Due to the size and geography of New Zealand, some longer drives are unavoidable, but we break them up with regular stops. To get the most out of the experience, you should be reasonably fit and comfortable with regular walking. On the most active days, walking is spread throughout the day and typically totals up to around 5 miles, sometimes on uneven surfaces or involving hills or steps. Group walks are at a measured pace, with plenty of opportunities to rest and take photos.
You will need to carry or wheel your own luggage from the bus to your hotel room, so we recommend packing light.
FAQs
Check out the FAQs page for this tour here with answers to questions about the activity level, walking pace, currency exchange, power adapters, packing advice, weather and more.
